he use of personal cellular phones and other unauthorized electronic communication devices by students is prohibited during instructional time and designated school-sponsored activities, unless explicitly permitted by a staff member for educational purposes or in case of an emergency. Devices should be turned off or silenced and stored out of sight during these times. This includes personal communication devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, smart glasses, bluetooth headphones/earbuds and tablets. *Students are allowed to bring wired headphone/earbuds to connect to their school issued Chromebook device.

Online Registration for the New School Year Starts Soon!
Get ready, Bobcats! Our online registration for the upcoming school year officially opens on Wednesday, July 23rd!

This includes:
-The online portion of new student registration
-All online returning student registration

Important for New Students: Please remember that the online portion of new student registration must be completed before you come to the office for the in-person registration steps.

The first day for in-person new student registration will be Monday, July 28th, from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Be sure to check the district's new year information announcement on Monday July 14th for additional in-person dates and times.

Please Note: The Parent Portal will be temporarily unavailable from July 14th - July 22nd as we prepare the system for registration.

House Bill 1481 update

Texas Law , HB 1481, now prohibits student use of personal communication devices during the instructional school day. By reducing classroom distractions, this bill seeks to improve student engagement and support their overall academic success. This includes, but is not limited to: cell phones, smartwatches, tablets and any other device that is capable of telecommunication or digital communication. Orangefield ISD is currently updating its policies to comply with the requirements of House Bill 1481. We will share more detailed information as we get closer to the start of the school year. Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we work together to prepare our students for bright futures.
