
OES Parents: It's HOMECOMING Spirit Week!!! We encourage all students to participate in our dress up days to support the Fighting Bobcats! We Believe!


Kindergarten students wrapped up their study on the letter 'T' and Transportation with a fun and tasty treat! The kids enjoyed a themed snack to celebrate what they've learned about different modes of transportation. What a great way to end the week and bring learning to life!





OES Parents: The PTA Spirit Store is making another appearance this week! Please review the price sheet with your student prior to his/her shopping day. On Thurs., September 19th, Pre-K, 1st, 3rd, & 4th will shop during their lunch times. On Fri., September 20th, K, 2nd, & 5th will shop during their lunch times.

OES PTA is hosting a Bobcat Hat Bar Night on September 30th. If you haven't ordered your hat, it's not too late! All orders due September 15th.


Fourth-grade math classes have been learning how to add and subtract decimals. Earlier this week, teachers put together a "Taco Tuesday" day for the students to engage in learning. Students could enjoy queso and salsa while using a menu to answer word problems.








This week, our Pre-K classes had an apple-tastic adventure! From crafting creative apple art, tasting a variety of apples, and graphing our favorites to counting apples and ending with a delicious homemade apple snack, it was a week full of fun and learning!





Mrs. Abshire & Mrs. Miller’s fifth-grade science students investigated the properties of mixtures through hands-on experimentation in the LAB.

Kindergarten wrapped up their learning about the letter G with a Glow Party!






Students from Mrs. Angelle's, Mrs. Best's, and Mrs. Verrett's 3rd-grade science classes participated in a Matter Science experiment to conclude their unit. They combined vinegar (liquid) and baking soda (solid) to create a gas, resulting in inflating their balloons. They also recorded their data, following the steps of the scientific method!

Alumni Kaci Wright joined Mrs. Michael's class to speak about community helpers. She reviewed dental hygiene and how to keep teeth clean and healthy!
