Did you catch the spectacular solar eclipse yesterday? Our elementary students had a blast witnessing this cosmic event!
Teachers took their classes out for a hands-on lesson and others created their own eclipse out of chalk! The kids loved it and got to experience science in the coolest way!

Congratulations to Kryslee Prevost, Amy Ou, Logan DeMontmollin, Angelica Weblster, Everly Fitts, Briar Knox, Rubi Sandoval-Rodriguez and Delilah Lieby who represented Orangefield Elementary well in the SETX State Fair Art Competition.

4th grade is full of future meteorologists! They have been recording their predictions of changes in the weather while observing the different types of clouds. They are reporting daily on the local forecast.




Easter Parties tomorrow! Guests must have a valid photo id and will enter through the cafeteria. Students may be signed out at the completion of their parties by a parent or guardian. Also, tomorrow is early release at 1:00 pm. See you all in the morning!

Mrs. Abshire’s science classes were engaged with LEGO Education. Students were able to explore physical science within sport context. They were reviewing and grasping a better understanding of force and motion and showing mechanical energy.







Pre-K finished up learning all about the letter Dd by making homemade Dough Nuts.




DOW awarded a $2500 grant to Orangefield Elementary to purchase STEM items for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. Pictured are students from Mrs. Lanier and Ms. Arrington's pre-kindergarten classes and Mrs. Forse's kindergarten class. Orangefield ISD appreciates DOW's support.




OISD is proud to announce Mrs. Leisa Miller, 5th grade science teacher, as a recipient of the 2024 Wayne A. Reaud Excellence in Education Award. She will be honored by the Beaumont Foundation at an awards gala on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Please help us congratulate Mrs. Miller for receiving this prestigious award for her commitment to excellence in education and dedication to inspiring a spirit of learning in students.


Pre-K is having so much fun learning all about measurement. They were able to explore and use different types of measuring tools around the classroom this week.





DPS troopers stopped by OES for a routine visit, and taught first graders at recess how to play some "old school" games like Red Rover and Duck, Duck, Goose! Thank you officers for your dedication to our community and our school district. We appreciate you and the special fun today!



OES Parents- It is not too late to attend the Ties & Tiaras Daddy/Daughter Dance on March 16th. Tickets are $30 per couple in advance or $35 at the door. ($5 for each additional daughter) Wrist corsages are also available for preorder for only $20. You don't want to miss out!


Our fifth grade recently embarked on an incredible journey without ever leaving their classroom seats! In Technology rotation, they explored the wonders of Google Earth by completing a scavenger hunt. Students uncovered hidden treasures of geography and history. The hunt wasn't just about finding locations on a map; it was a journey of discovery, connecting students with distant places and diverse cultures.




First grade celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with a Crazy Sock day!
